Born in 1993, Pollyanna Johnson is a painter living and working East Sussex, England.
Her work explores the rural landscape where she lives, and the atmosphere that she identifies therein.
These landscape drawings and paintings are now evolving into portraits, as her experience of being a woman, and portraits of women from the past seep into this world.
Pollyanna is now also creating limited edition ceramic pieces, handmade and painted by her. These domestic objects are intricately painted, and primarily consider women from art that have followed the artist on her journey through the art world.
These women have escaped the walls of the gallery, overcrowded by the male gaze of the painters and paintings that once surrounded them.
